Congratulations, students! It's time to reap the rewards of your hard work and academic success by applying for graduation.
- Graduation applications can be filled out by logging onto your SOAR account and navigating to your Student Center.
- Select Application for Graduation from the drop-down list of options below the Academics section. Be sure to read all
information before completing the application.
Enter the address you'd like your diploma mailed to, a valid contact number and the semester you plan to complete your degree.
Should you receive an error message while attempting to complete an application, be sure to update us by completing a Graduation Application Troubleshooting form.
- Click Print Application Form which will generate a PDF file in your browser for you to download and save as a PDF file to your computer. Blank or handwritten applications are not accepted. In the event your application does not print, check to make sure you do not have a pop-up blocker turned on and/or clean your cache. If you continue to have issues, please email graduationFREEMississippi for assistance.
- Select the “Fill & Sign” tool from Tools in Adobe Acrobat Reader to sign your degree application. Save your PDF using the following format W+StudentID+Semester. For example: If Seymour is graduating in the Fall, the file name would be W970192Fall. Keep a copy of this on your own computer or cloud account.
- Email the PDF file with your signature to your academic advisor. You can find who your academic advisor is in your SOAR account under the Advisors and Mentors tab. If you have difficulties locating your advisor, please contact the Advising Center. DO NOT submit your PDF to the Advising Center.
- Do not worry about the initials requested on page 2 of the degree application. Your advisor will reach out to you and work with you on those items.
- Once your application is approved & signed by your advisor, your advisor will be responsible for forwarding your application the Office of the Chair/Director of your major.
- After your degree application has been approved by the Chair/Director of your major, your application will be submitted to the Office of Degree Progress for final signature and you will be supplied with a preliminary audit via email.

Undergraduate Degree Candidates
Graduation applications are made available to students through their SOAR account a year in advance and late fees are based off of the print date of the application. UNDERGRADUATE students wishing to request a reduction in the graduation application fee due to a circumstance beyond their control may appeal using the Graduation Application Fee Appeal Form.
